David Rotllant

David Rotllant is Director of Scientific Coordination and Research Support Unit at the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC). He has over 20 years’ experience in basic and applied neuroscience, and eight years as a Project Leader in the biotechnology industry. Throughout his career, he has designed preclinical strategies and coordinated collaborations with academic groups, driving projects from conception through clinical translation and securing competitive funding.

Rotllant holds a PhD in Neuroscience and a degree in Biology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His expertise spans project leadership, scientific governance and communication of research results, with a focus on excellence, collaboration and impact on neurodegenerative disease research.

As Director of Scientific Coordination and Research Support, he coordinates and supports research projects, ensuring their quality, coherence and alignment with the BBRC’s mission.
