Dr. Marta del Campo heads the Fluid Biomarkers Platform at the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC). Her main responsibility is the development, validation, and implementation of blood biomarkers for the early detection of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, with the aim of establishing non-invasive and cost-effective diagnòstic tools.
Dr. del Campo holds a degree in Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid, a master's degree in Biotechnology and a doctorate in Medicine with a specialization in Biomarkers in Alzheimer's from the VU University medical center (VUmc) in Amsterdam. Her outstanding career has been recognized with the prestigious Ramón y Cajal 2023 Grant.
