The research carried out at the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center is possible thanks to the participation of thousands of people who, voluntarily, regularly come to its facilities to undergo clinical, cognition and neuroimaging tests, among others.

What does it mean to be a voluntary participant?

Being a participant in a research study is an act of generosity, which requires a long-term commitment and does not imply any direct medical benefit. However, thanks to the tests carried out on each participant, researchers can collect information that allows them to identify biomarkers and risk factors to design prevention strategies for Alzheimer's disease, or advance the study of the evolution of cognitive functions  in healthy and pathological ageing.

In the event that new projects require recruitment, they will be announced in this same section of the website.

If you are interested in participating, you can fill out the following form indicating the option “I want to participate in a scientific study” and we will notify you when a new call opens.
