Clinical Operations Platform

The Clinical Operations Facility is responsible for the cohorts of the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC) and their sub-studies and linked projects, ensuring the rigorous execution of clinical activities with standards of quality, regulatory compliance and strategic support for research. It organises visits and longitudinal follow-up of participants and provides support across the full life cycle of clinical trials, from design and set-up to monitoring and close‑out. In addition, it manages the biobank and sample repositories, ensuring their preservation, traceability and integrity, and implements systematic verification of quality standards and regulatory requirements at every stage.

This unit is composed of a multidisciplinary clinical operations team and a working group responsible for the safety of all medical procedures carried out on BBRC premises, working in an integrated manner with the centre’s other platforms. The facility is led by Anna Soteras.
