HRS4RThe Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC) received in 2020 the HR Excellence in Research award - HRS4R, awarded by the European Commission. In order to integrate the 40 principles contained in the European Charter of the Researcher and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of research staff, the BBRC developed the 2020-2024 Action Plan demonstrating its strong commitment to the HRS4R strategy.

Following a new internal review carried out in 2025, and building on the progress achieved during the previous implementation phase, BBRC has defined a new Action Plan for the period 2026–2028. This updated plan reinforces the Centre’s commitment to continuous improvement in research working conditions, recruitment practices, and career development, ensuring alignment with European standards and evolving institutional priorities.

In addition, the BBRC has a Code of Good Practice to guarantee the principles of non-discrimination, merit and equal opportunities in recruitment processes, and to offer opportunities of training and career development to its employees.

At BBRC, we promote a people-centred work model that places care, respect, and well-being at its core. Equality, diversity and inclusion are key pillars of our institutional culture. In this context, BBRC is firmly committed to the principle of equal treatment and equal opportunities for all, ensuring fairness regardless of gender or other personal characteristics.

In line with this commitment, in 2023 BBRC initiated the implementation of its Equality Plan, in accordance with the applicable national legislation on effective equality and European best practices, with the aim of fostering an inclusive, respectful and equitable working environment.

All selection and recruitment processes at BBRC are conducted in accordance with our Open, Transparent and Merit-Based Recruitment (OTM-R) Policy, ensuring fairness, equal opportunities and alignment with European standards.

All open vacancies are published on this website, where candidates can consult the full job descriptions and detailed instructions on how to submit their applications. In line with current Data Protection regulations, BBRC can only accept and process applications submitted in response to active job offers and is therefore unable to consider spontaneous applications.

We encourage candidates to regularly follow the publication of vacancies on this webpage and to submit their applications through the channel indicated in each call, when their profile matches the requirements of the position.
