Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC) reseacher, Anna Brugulat, has been selected within the Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health program by the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI). This grant will take her one year, from next August 28th, to the Memory Aging Center Hospital of the University of California in San Francisco

There, she will be part of a cohort of leaders developing the skills and brain health knowledge to make transformative changes back in their own communities in areas like the prevention of dementias.

Anna Brugulat, author of BBRC’s first PhD thesis, will be provided with a personalized learning experience. She will be integrated into a multidisciplinary network of professionals and institutions working to find solutions to Alzheimer's and other dementias.

Thus, the researcher will be BBRC’s ambassador in the Memory Aging Center Hospital, a prestigious research center that has shown great interest in BBRC’s Alzheimer prevention projects such as the Alfa Study. "They are stunned by our cohort of more than 2,700 people," Brugulat says.

Therefore, surrounded by people from disciplines as diverse as architecture or dance, Brugulat is convinced she will profit from this training parenthesis to come back with new ideas and knowledge for BBRC. "The goal is to learn to the fullest, it will be a very enriching experience," she says.

Congratulations!
