The team from the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC), a research centre of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, has participated in the 17th edition of the international Clinical Trials on Alzheimer's Disease (CTAD) conference. The event, held in Madrid from 29 October to 1 November, brought together industry and research professionals with the aim of exploring ways to accelerate the development of effective treatments for the disease.
Dr Marc Suárez-Calvet, head of the Fluid Biomarkers and Translational Neurology Research Group at the BBRC, moderated one of the sessions included in this year's programme, entitled Late Breaking Roundtable: Plasma P-tau 217 assays in clinical practice: Current uses and future considerations for diagnosing Alzheimer's disease.
Researchers Dr. Federica Anastasi, Clàudia Porta-Mas, Dr. Núria Tort-Colet, Dr. Gianmarco Iaccarino, David López-Martos, and Dr. Gonzalo Sánchez Benavides also presented scientific posters on their recent research. See the conference programme for more information.
