The Barcelona Brain Health Center is an innovative clinical facility resulting from a strategic partnership between the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC), Hospital del Mar and the Hospital del Mar Research Institute.

Designed as an integrative and cross-disciplinary structure, the BBHC goes beyond the traditional model of memory clinics to address brain health from a broad perspective. It integrates care and research across the entire Alzheimer’s disease continuum: from prevention in cognitively healthy individuals at high risk of cognitive decline, to the diagnosis and treatment of people with mild cognitive impairment and dementia.

The BBHC will offer:

  • Individualised assessment of cognitive decline risk
  • Personalised communication of risk factors
  • Personalised prevention plans
  • Diagnosis and treatment of mild cognitive impairment and dementias
  • Comprehensive monitoring across the entire disease continuum

This initiative, a first of its kind in Spain, will generate valuable insights and transform the current model of care for Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases, with a focus on prevention and early diagnosis.
