The Pasqual Maragall Foundation opens a new call in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation launches the new Pasqual Maragall Foundation–Alzheimer’s Association Alzheimer’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease Related Dementias (FPM–ALZ AD/ADRD) Fellows Program 2026 call.

The FPM–ALZ AD/ADRD Fellows Program aims to support outstanding early- and mid-career investigators who wish to carry out translational or clinical research focused on AD/ADRD at public or non-profit organisations based in Spain. In the 2026 call, each project may receive up to €400,000, with a maximum duration of four years.

The program is open to outstanding researchers worldwide, of any nationality and within 15 years of obtaining their doctoral degree. Additionally, they must not have held a position as an independent researcher at a public or non-profit research organisation based in Spain for more than five years.

This announcement coincides with a very special visit from Dr. Maria Carrillo, Chief Science Officer and Medical Affairs Lead of the Alzheimer’s Association, underscoring our shared belief that strengthening the scientific community is key to defeating Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias.

Through this new call, the Foundation aims to foster a robust, innovative, and collaborative scientific community advancing the understanding and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
