The Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC) has obtained the HR Excellence in Research award (HRS4R), awarded by the European Commission. With this recognition, the center shows its adherence to the principles set out in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
The BBRC can now employ the HR Excellence in Research seal as a center offering a stimulating and supportive work environment in accordance with the Charter and Code, which outline the rights and responsibilities of researchers and their employers, and contribute to the creation of an ecosystem that is transparent, attractive and open internationally.
"The recognition reflects our commitment to research talent, through the continuous adaptation of people management policies: we follow the recommendations of the European Commission and guarantee the highest standards of transparency and equality in the recruitment and evaluation processes" ensures the BBRC manager, Glòria Oliver.
In February 2018, the BBRC adhered to the Charter and Code and, in September 2019, requested the award of recognition, after an extensive internal analysis and after developing the Action Plan 2020-2024 to integrate the principles of European excellence in human resources for research. With this distinction, the BBRC joins more than 560 European research institutions that are committed to excellence in human resources in order to improve processes, attract and retain talent to develop research projects.
Obtaining this award requires a review of the action plan every two years by an independent external auditor.
